O R I G I N A L S K E T C H E S F R O M D O U G H Y D E Doug is famously passionate about his sketches which are so closely linked to his finished artwork. These pieces represent the genesis of an idea, the ‘light bulb moment’, which leads him on to create his original pastels. Looking at one of Doug’s original sketches allows us to visualise the journey of the painting and see how and where the story began.
