Like the dressmaker who is on his knees in her presence, we are left to simply admire her as a work of art, and not to engage with her as an individual. We have no clue as to the feelings of the dressmaker. We know he must be a romantic at heart – he has a book by Jack Vettriano on his bookshelf after all - but does he feel passion as well as devotion? As always with this intriguing artist, we are left to wonder. The Devoted Dressmaker was originally displayed at the highly acclaimed Days of Wine and Roses exhibition in 2010 alongside such classic Vettriano pieces as The Weight and Morning News. We are delighted to announce that this iconic image has now been released as an exclusive limited edition of 125, signed by the artist. The Devoted Dressmaker is a riveting piece of Jack Vettriano storytelling at its best. The scene bears many of the hallmarks that have built his formidable reputation – vibrancy and boldness of style tempered with a touch of romantic suggestion and, of course, compositional brilliance. 20 JACK VETTRIANO NEW RELEASE
