After achieving a distinction in Fine Art at foundation level, Lucy went on to graduate with a BA Honours degree from London’s Westminster University in 2002. Since then her reputation as an artist has grown rapidly; her work is shown in high calibre galleries throughout the UK from London to St Ives, and she has received private commissions from around the world. She has also been an exhibitor at the Chelsea Flower Show, and as part of the BBC’s Arthouse Collection, much of her work has been selected for film and TV. “I find nothing more inspirational than seeing the sun burst through after a downpour of rain. The light cascades in a rhythmic sparkle across the ground and the ocean gleams like liquid silver. It’s magical! I want people to feel uplifted by my paintings and be able to imagine themselves there, in that scene, if only for a moment. Once refreshed I return to my studio ready to pour my energy into a canvas”.
