He hung the portrait on the wall of the bar in his California home. This autumn however, Ringo was touring the States and Fabian and Lucy thought it would be a nice gesture to gift him the painting in appreciation for the years of pleasure his music had given them. Ringo is not given to making physical contact with strangers and is not generally even willing to shake hands, however when Fabian went backstage, Ringo greeted him with a huge smile and a huge hug. He loved the painting and the two formed a real bond.
