Carl Payne Master of modern sculpture
14/04/2020
Carl Payne’s mesmerising new release for spring is his second piece inspired by one of the most popular and best loved ballets ever created. Rather than a traditional dance sculpture of a complete figure, he has created a bust, portraying the head and shoulders of Odile – one of the two complex and enigmatic swan maidens in Swan Lake. This thought-provoking and beautiful piece is no less inspired by the world of dance, yet Carl has examined this idea from a whole new angle – that of facial expression rather than the shaping and movement of a dancer’s body. We are still fulfilling orders and have put in place strict safety measures to ensure that our heroic team stays safe at work and that your artwork can be delivered without contact to your chosen safe place.
